A registered unit with the Girl Guides Association of Trinidad and Tobago as approved by the District Commissioner under the East Port of Spain Division and by Headquarters.
The unit at Maria Regina Grade School has two sections:

2. Guide Company - for Junior Guides (girls 9 - 12 years)

Girl Guides is a programme of activities based on four signposts: Health, Handicraft, Craft and Service which is expressed in different ways as girls move through the different age group sections. Chess develops your memory, develops logical thinking and promotes imagination and creativity. It teaches independence, inspires motivation and develops the capability to predict and foresee consequences of actions.
Under the training of our world-recognized Coach, many of our Chess Club members have developed enough skill to represent our school successfully at national tournaments.
